Google Pay
With this launch, we’re completing our e-wallet offer. We already supported Apple Pay, and within the Apple Pay wallet, we support VISA, Mastercard, and Bancontact. Now, Google Pay joins the portfolio, supporting VISA and Mastercard.
Google Pay is a secure, easy-to-use, and convenient way to pay and manage transactions. With Google Pay, customers can make online payments without needing additional apps or physical cards. Google Pay comes pre-installed on many Android devices, including smartphones, tablets, and wearables. Consumers only need to link their credit card or bank account to start using it.
Authorize/Capture flow support for Apple Pay & Google Pay
The Authorize/Capture flow is essential for industries where the exact transaction amount isn’t known at the time of authorization – such as in petrol stations, hotel check-ins, and more. This flow allows funds to be authorized first, ensuring their availability, with the actual amount captured later.
CCV Online Payments has already supported the Authorize/Capture flow for popular payment methods like VISA, Mastercard, Maestro, Bancontact, and Klarna. Now, we’ve extended this support to Apple Pay and Google Pay.
This enhancement ensures that merchants using Apple Pay or Google Pay can benefit from secure real-time authorization, followed by the flexibility to capture the final amount once it’s confirmed. Additionally, our platform continues to support automatic reversals, allowing for the prompt release of funds in case of cancellations or adjustments to transactions.
