Improved Customer Feedback for Card Payments

We’ve improved the experience for customers paying by card. Instead of immediately redirecting the customer back to the webshop after entering their card details and completing 3D Secure, we now wait a little longer, up to 10 seconds by default, until the final payment result is known (success or failure).

Previously, some card payments were still being processed in the background when customers were already sent back to the webshop. This could cause confusion, especially if the payment was still pending. With this update, customers first see a clear result screen (success, failure, or timeout) before being redirected. This improves transparency and reduces uncertainty for both customers and merchants.

This behaviour was already in place for Apple Pay and Google Pay. It now also applies to card payments. Similar improvements for other payment methods will follow. The waiting time before redirecting (default: 10 seconds) is configurable. For payments involving a vault enrollment (storing a card for future use), the same logic applies.

Expanded Language Support on Cloud Connect

We’ve expanded the language support on the payment page of our Cloud Connect terminals. Customers can now view key messages such as “Refund” and “Authorise” in their own language, improving clarity and ensuring a more user-friendly experience across different countries.

The supported languages now include English, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, German, French, Spanish, Danish, Slovenian, and Swedish. If an unsupported language is received via the API, the terminal will default to English.
