Improved PayPal Transaction Responses
We’ve upgraded how we handle PayPal responses to make things clearer for you. Previously, if PayPal rejected a transaction, you’d get a vague ERROR 500. Now, when PayPal refuses a request, you’ll receive a detailed response explaining why. You’ll get a clear HTTP 200 response, including specifics about the unsuccessful transaction. We’ve tested this extensively, and now, if PayPal rejects a transaction, you’ll know exactly why, giving you more transparency and control in your transactions.
Enhanced API Details for Apple Pay Transactions
We’ve enriched our API specifically for Apple Pay transactions, addressing the absence of CardDetails. This update ensures a seamless alignment with how Card transactions are handled, offering a more comprehensive and uniform experience for merchants developing the API.
Transition to Bancontact 3DS2 Completed
CCV proudly announces the successful completion of the migration to Bancontact 3DS2 for all merchants on CCV Online Payments. In response to the discontinuation of Bancontact 3DS1 and as the first PSP globally to implement Bancontact 3DS2, CCV has seamlessly transitioned all its merchants to this advanced authentication solution, enhancing the security of online card transactions. The phased migration plan, initiated in October 2023, involved meticulous monitoring of all transactions.
While a few Belgian banks are finalizing their 3DS2 implementations, CCV, alongside Bancontact, is fully prepared to process 3DS2 transactions. A fallback to 3DS1 is available for Bancontact cards issued by banks still undergoing implementation. However, CCV anticipates that all Belgian banks will have completed their 3DS2 integrations well before the Q3 2024 deadline. This achievement reinforces CCV’s commitment to pioneering secure online transactions and ensuring a smooth experience for our valued merchants.
