The Online Payments solution of CCV is constantly evolving and improving to provide users with the best possible experience. It is designed to streamline the payment process, making it convenient and efficient for both customers and businesses. On September 18th 2024, a new version was released which brings important additions to our suite of payment tools, and we are excited to offer it to our users. We believe that this new release will be a valuable addition to the Online Payments solution of CCV.

PayPal shipping data
In this release, we’ve introduced an enhancement for PayPal shipping data to ensure merchants meet PayPal’s seller protection requirements. PayPal now requires a valid shipping address to be provided in the transaction, which wasn’t part of our previous integration. Merchants risk losing their seller protection if no address is provided.
To address this, we now dynamically send shipping data depending on the availability of the customer’s shipping address. If an address is available, the API uses the “SET_PROVIDED_ADDRESS” option, ensuring consistency and preventing the customer from changing the address. If no address is provided, the API sends “NO_SHIPPING,” maintaining the existing behaviour. This improvement helps merchants comply with PayPal’s policies and increases their chances of seller protection, enhancing their overall security and service reliability.
iDEAL Fast Checkout
In this release, we are introducing support for iDEAL Fast Checkout, a faster and simpler payment option that leverages pre-stored payment details. With iDEAL Fast Checkout, customers can complete their purchase without manually entering payment information. This streamlined payment flow is particularly beneficial for guest users checking out for the first time, as they can skip the usual form-filling process, making the checkout experience faster and more convenient. The process also integrates biometric verification and 3DS security, ensuring a safe transaction.
This new feature allows merchants to directly integrate iDEAL onto product and checkout pages, significantly speeding up the purchase process and reducing the chances of abandoned carts. Customers can pay securely within just a few steps, without needing to create an account, enhancing both the user experience and conversion rates. As iDEAL is the most popular payment method in the Netherlands, this update enables merchants to offer a trusted, efficient payment option.
By introducing iDEAL Fast Checkout, we are responding to the growing demand for quicker and frictionless payment methods. Merchants benefit from a higher success rate on payments, while consumers enjoy the convenience of a digital wallet-like experience without additional steps. This contributes to a positive shopping experience and builds trust in the checkout process.
Card Recognition Update – Effective October 1, 2024
As we announced in our October 2023 release, CCV has refined its card recognition system to better identify different VISA and Mastercard card types, enabling more accurate transaction fee invoicing. Starting from October 1, 2024, this enhanced billing structure will be fully applied, ensuring precise fee allocation based on card type, usage, and geographical scope. The first invoice with the enhanced billing structure will be sent out in November, covering all transactions for the month of October.
